How It Works

FAQs

What does the Screedex® Reinforcement Support do?

It clips onto the Medium or Large Screedex® platforms to hold reinforcing mesh at the correct height, ensuring the reinforcement stays centered for improved strength and helps prevent tile system failures.

Why should wire mesh be elevated in a mortar bed?

If reinforcement rests on the subfloor, it can’t absorb movement or load effectively. Elevating the mesh distributes stress better, reducing cracking and extending tile life — especially critical for commercial projects or any flooring job requiring reinforcement in the scope of works.

How does this work with Screedex® platforms?

The Reinforcement Support attaches directly to the Medium and Large platforms, which set your mortar bed height and slope.

The support cradle holds the mesh securely throughout installation, helping you build a strong, code-compliant screed.
